Description | Pendulum accelerometer designed and constructed by Frederick Lanchester and used by Daimler and Company, for brake and acceleration testing of vehicles. Consisting of two tracing pens, one centred and one pendulum mounted, above a paper scroll. The scroll housed on two clockwork driven drums operated by a winding handle and an on/off lever. With a carrying handle and height-adjustable base resting on three screw mounts. One screw head missing. |
