Letters from Robert Stephenson

This collections contains letters sent by Robert Stephenson, who worked alongside his father, George Stephenson. Together they pioneered the railways and managed several companies together. Robert also worked as a civil engineer and in 1847 he became a Member of Parliament for Whitby.
