Description To Thomas Richardson. Comments that he doesn't feel he has lost anything by John Rennie stepping in for the Liverpool and Manchester Railway, as he is as busy as ever: he has been appointed to a railway in Wales (Nantlle Railway); and the Bolton and Leigh Railway. Says that Liverpool and Manchester Railway is upmost in his thoughts but he is now familiar with it and confident. Discusses progress on the tunnel beneath Liverpool (Wapping Tunnel); reports that given all he has learned since the Stockton and Darlington Railway, that this line will surpass all others. Cooments on the abilities of Allcard. A postscript states that he has done a good deal on Chat Moss and comments on this. Transcript included.
