Discusses that Mr Fordham shall be sent to relieve John Dixon in Canterbury (Canterbury and Whitstable Railway) so that the latter can join Stephenson in order to please the Directors (probably of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway). Mentions that he is likely to be appointed to a railway in Wales (Nantlle Railway). Disscusses the Bedlington Iron Works and Robert Stephenson & Co manufactory and possible orders, comments on how busy the manufactory is. Transcript included.
