Description Built for the Manchester and Sheffield Railway. Inscribed '12 passenger engines built by E B Wilson and Company, for the Manchester & Sheffield Railway May 1848 to Jan 1849. These engines were specially designed to work the Bank up to the Woodhead Tunnel...they were provided with what then was a very abnormal heating surface...' Scale 1 1/2 inches: 1 foot.
