Summer Meetings

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers held an annual Summer Meeting almost every year from 1856 until 1972. The first event was held in Glasgow and in the following decades thousands of members visited towns and cities across the UK and even ventured abroad to network with their peers, visit engineering firms, and listen to inspiring papers.
