London Transport Workshop training
Classes were formed for the training of women engineers for London Transport Workshops, arranged by London Passenger Transport Board. The complete training lasted a month and towards the end required a test pass. If successful a certificate of proficiency was awarded, before they went to work. There were 2,850 women at work in London Transports Workshops, 25 Mar 1943.
