Surbiton Pumping Station

One turbine could pump 24,000,000 gallons for 24 hrs and will pump a distance of 13 miles. It was opened by Sir E Hilton Young, Minister of Health. The station cost £200,000 and was one of the biggest schemes for improvements of London's water supply. Taken the day before opening, 31 Oct 1932.
