Member summer meetings were an Institution highlight. In June 1904 the meeting was held in Chicago: Members travelled over to America together; visiting New York City, Washington DC, Niagara Falls, Boston, Cincinnati and St Louis, where they toured The Louisiana Purchase Exposition (St Louis World's Fair). During their stay they crossed over into Québec, Canada.
This collection of glass plate photographs illustrates their journey and the sights they saw, most were taken by C Wick. There is also a group portrait of the Members with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
