They include Stephenson's comments on the laying out of several railway lines and discusses the Liverpool and Manchester Railway, the London and Birmingham Railway, Stockton and Darlington Railway, North Midlands Railway and the Newcastle and Berwick Railway.
Longridge was joint-owner, alongside William Hawks, of Bedlington Ironworks.
