Despite the War having ended on 11 November 1918, its influence reached into 1919. The Journal discusses the demobilization of "pivotal men" and the re-employment of engineers returning from active service. Training for such Members was also on offer and courses are recorded here. How to honour those who died was key, a visit to war sites was proposed, a service was held in Westminster Abbey and an Honour Roll created. The Centenary of James Watt was a major event. Day-to-day business such as papers and the re-opening of the Library are noted (1 Birdcage Walk was requisitioned until 1919).
