1:4 sized model of the Napier Sabre V engine.
The Sabre V engine was produced in 1944 and used in Hawker Tempest aircraft. The Sabre was a horizontally opposed 24 cylinder sleeve-valved H configuration liquid cooled petrol engine
The model was donated to the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in 1946 by D. Napier and Son Limited.
