Model FV106 Samson Armoured Recovery Vehicle (ARV)

The FV 106 Samson Armoured Recovery Vehicle (ARV) was designed and produced in the 1970s to recover damaged light armoured vehicles in areas of combat. The Samson would be manned by three REME crew. The Samson has a 3.5 tonne capstan winch which allows it to recover vehicles up to 12 tonnes in weight and a manually operated anchor to aid in recovery operations.
