The eighth model created by Cherry was the Wallis and Steevens' "Simplicity" Road Roller, based on the single cylinder engine of 1930. She used general arrangement and detailed drawings as the core source of information for her design, and was able to take measurements from original roller No. 8023 during multiple factory visits. Cherry worked on the model between 1975 and 1979, whilst also developing her representation of the "Advance" Road Roller manufactured by the same company. She received a Duke of Edinburgh Award in 1981. Scale 1/16th and 0.75 inches to 1 foot; weight in case 6.4kg; measurements 9 3/8 x 4 x 6 1/4in Nameplate reads 'Wallis & Steevens, Simplicity, 50 CWT Steam Roller' |
