Title Model Gellerat-Rouleau 23 ton Compresseur à Vapeur 1881
Full Description The Gellerat-Rouleau Steam Road Roller Model created by Cherry Hill is based on the Eugene Gellerat Rouleau Compresseur à Vapeur twin engine of 1881. She referred to multiple sources to inform her design, including a paper by Gellerat describing an earlier design of the engine, published in the Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in 1869. With her research completed between 1986 and 1989, Cherry finished the construction in 1991. The final stage of the process involved meticulous painting of the multiple components - including the original blue livery - which was accomplished by 1995. In total, the project took 6,600 hours. Cherry was awarded a Duke of Edinburgh Award for her efforts in 1999.
