Plaque across top: "Present from German Prisoners to Major Pinder Commander 347 MT Coy RASC". Right door handle turns and opens on hinges, right top opens to reveal workings, left top folds and opens to reveal workings. Features axle on the under croft and turning wheels. Upholstered seat. Sanders was Commander in Chief of German and Turkish forces in the Palestine region. 347 Mechanical Transport (MT) Company (Supply Column), was a unit of the Royal Army Service Corps. The car has been identified as a Mercedes 115PS 1914 Grand Prix Racer. |
